Home Sweet Home

December 4, 2010

Saturday morning we got up E-A-R-L-Y to head to Bentonville. It's usually a three-hour-and-45-minute drive going through Y-City, but, with our huge moving truck, we had to take the Interstate. It was a lovely, uneventful drive and really didn't seem like it was as long as it was.

My poor mama woke up with the stomach bug that has been going around, so she didn't get to go with us. :( At least she is feeling better now. :)

After some stops and lunch at the Cracker Barrel in Alma (Emily's country!), we made it safe and sound...and began the process of unloading. Thank God for dollies.

With Uncle Chuck's help, we finished ahead of schedule--even getting the kitchen set up!--and got to go eat at Ruby Tuesday. *MMM salad bar*

This is our home! I am in love with it. :)

Northwest Arkansas

October 13, 2010

Zach and I headed out of Hot Springs early this morning for Bentonville and the rest of northwest Arkansas. It was a beautiful and scenic drive up. Here is the best shot I got of NWACC as we were heading down the road for some celebratory drinks and dessert at Ruby Tuesday. (Zach thinks his interview went well *prayers going up*) It was a pretty campus, and I was amazed that they have a parking deck--and UCA doesn't. (Now, I know that a UCA parking deck would probably sink into the swamp that is Conway, but you would think the University would maximize the use of their land in other ways since they can't build a parking deck...)

Anyway, our journey has also included a lovely dinner with Zach's Uncle Chuck and a cool--nay, downright cold--autumn night in NWA! I'm going to have to knit me a sweater overnight!

Erin's 23rd Birthday = A Ruby Tuesday

June 1, 2010

Happy birthday, Erin! We love you!!

How is it already June? And how can I almost be finished with the first installment of my photo journal?! Time sure flies when you're having fun...

We ate here TWICE today. The first time was with Michelle for lunch (chicken tenders and a mojito--sorry if I got tipsy :).

This is Michelle at lunch with us at Ruby Tuesday back in January. I guess it's our place with her. *lol*

Then we had Erin's birthday dinner, and we only found out that morning--AFTER we had scheduled lunch there with Michelle after changing times on her TWICE--that she wanted to eat her birthday dinner there (the BEST salad bar EVER). Michelle, I'm so glad to know you take pictures of your food, too.

We love Ruby Tuesday, so it was fine in our book, but we will definitely take a break before going back!!

[I didn't take any pictures at lunch or dinner because everyone has been feeling kinda poorly lately.]

Happy 1st Anniversary, Em-Em and Phil-Phil!

Today I had Holly's with Em-Em! (I actually didn't eat that much. :)

It was so great getting to see her before we head out of town. She has had a big year, finishing most of her classes for grad school and gearing up for clinicals, AND she and Phil-Phil bought a house!

With some people, it doesn't seem like a day has gone by, and it's so easy to reconnect with them. :) I only wish we could have chatted even longer! I miss seeing her and Philip every day, along with Erin, Nick, and Rose. :(

Em-Em and Phil-Phil are celebrating their first anniversary this weekend, and so I wanted to post a picture from their wedding. Oh, happy day! Congratulations, Robertson's! I love you!

(Zach didn't get to come to the wedding because he was in China-land. I was a little disappointed because I was so excited to have a date, instead of being "the fifth wheel." *lol* Thankfully Rose and Monica and I went as each other's dates. :)
